This new vendor is Brandman University. Our next step towards making these important courses available to the District 3 membership, will be to finalize a contract with Brandman University. Our CWA Regional Partner, Wesley Dolinski and the other administrative staff in the Partnership office have started the process of finalizing this contract. We expect this process to take 3-4 weeks. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact Wesley at the Partnership Office, or Jeff Self with Brandman University. Below I have listed some details about Brandman University, along with Jeff’s contact information: Brandman University has the following credentials applicable for the CWA District 3 Partnership Training Program: • Brandman was established in 1958 and is a private, nonprofit institution regionally accredited by the WSCUC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). • Brandman has 18 years of continuous experience in providing technical training services for Verizon employees in all regions and Districts through their Tuition Assistance Program. • Brandman has 10 years of continuous experience in providing technical training services for Frontier Communications employees in all regions and Districts through their Tuition Assistance Program. • In early 2019 Brandman started delivering technical training services for CenturyLink employees in CWA District 7 through the Partners in Education Program. Since then, over 300 members from District 7 have participated in an array of telecom & IT training courses. • Brandman can provide an assortment of telecom & IT training options for the CWA D3 Partnership Program: TKT II, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Office, Fiber Optics Installer & Fiber Optics Technician, A+ and Network+, 5G Technician, 5G Wireless Communications, Data Communications, FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL), Basic Electricity & Electronics plus other industry recognized certification courses to prepare students for the digital age. ▪ Please note that currently, not all of the training programs offered by Brandman have been approved by the Partnership Board. The Partnership Program has been suspended. The new program will be under the AT&T Non-Management Tuition Assistance Plan – Wireline Represented Employees.
This program will be utilized through the company. The only added feature to this is you may use up to $5250 per year, but there is a LIFETIME CAP. The company will make this seem like the best thing since sliced bread.

Company paid tuition assistance is regulated by the U.S. Federal Income Tax Code 127. During a calendar year, employees will not be subject to federal income tax on tuition assistance received from AT&T under this policy, up to an amount of $5,250. However, AT&T will report as income and withhold applicable taxes on tuition assistance exceeding $5,250 if the education does not maintain or improve the skills needed by the employee in his/her current position

AT&T Tuition Plan Administration Changes
To: All AT&T employees in the U.S, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam.

What: New Tuition Plan Administrator and Process
When: Courses beginning on or after Jan. 1, 2009
Effective for courses beginning on or after Jan. 1, 2009, all AT&T employees will follow new procedures to participate in AT&T Tuition Aid Plans. No changes have been made to the provisions or required deadlines of the various Tuition Assistance Plans.
Here are highlights of the changes you need to know to participate in the plans:
§ All employees will submit tuition applications to the new AT&T Tuition Plan Administrator, Acclaris, Inc., which currently supports only Mobility employees.
§ The process to submit applications/grades is changing for all employees, and it is important to make sure you are familiar with the plan before submitting an application.
§ All paper documents (applications, grade reports, receipts, rate sheets, etc.) related to classes or certifications that begin on or after Jan. 1, 2009 will be faxed to Acclaris, Inc. (contact information is forthcoming).
§ The Acclaris Customer Care Center will handle all tuition plan phone and email inquiries beginning in January.
In the coming weeks, you will receive additional information on these changes which will include details on how to submit an application and how to contact Acclaris to check on the status of a new application. Documents containing these additional details will be available on HROneStop.
In the interim, please continue to access HROneStop for your current tuition plan under Your Career > Tuition Aid.
